The problem is you're not intelligent enough to understand the first mover argument. The argument is not that "everything needs a cause". It's that everything in motion needs a cause, everything dependent needs a cause, everything imperfect needs a cause.

I think you have a great mindset, "Humans are scared of what they don't know" is not only a problem itself but causes many more problems. And your idea that people should look at what they don't know and try to figure it out is an idea worth living by.

There is only one point that I would like to address, when people try to figure out what they don't know, they should always stay within the realm of what they do know. No one can come to any conclusions if their conclusions are not measurable or repeatable.

I am not an atheist but I am not religious at all. I like your idea. what I believe is that life is an enigma to humans. No matter how much we try to find out the truth of whatever, or how much we believe in something, we are always going to have that thought in the back of our minds, "Is it true of what I believe or what I am told?" or "Is there a god or a devil". Some people are driven to insanity to try and find the truth. I believe that there are darker secrets in the world than we know, but humanity is too ignorant to believe it. Humans are scared of what they don't know. I think that they should all get over it and look at something they don't know and try to figure it out. All theories could be wrong or right in some way...No one will ever know. But I do believe that humans won't figure it out any time soon. This is for sure. Thank you for your time and please send me an e-mail of what you think.

You have a interesting perspective. You draw some odd conclusions but I think the most important point you make is, " 'Real' Atheists don't believe and go about their day to day..." From that point I assume you are not atheist but if you are then good for you. However as stated by many people in the past an Atheist does not believe in god, that is the only common trait I have with other atheists. There are Atheists, like myself, who choose to debate the topic due to the harmful nature of religion. And there are atheists that search for god as you presume I am doing. My point is that people are different, religious or not the way I choose to debate logic over ignorance is my choice as an individual. It has no impact on me being a "Real" atheist or not.

Thank you for the comment :)

You're not really an atheist because you spend too much time trying to get people to convince you there is a god. "Real" atheists don't believe and go about their own day-to-day business not believing and don't wear it on their sleeves like the Jews of Nazi Germany. You make a web site, you debate theists, you invite argument; all this shows you're really searching for god—only in a negative way that appears to you to put the burden of proof on the other guy.

@ James

You serve a great point and this is a matter of personal opinion in many respects. I mainly go by the belief that one should argue their side until proven correct or proven incorrect. Without such debates the world would revolve around respecting ones beliefs even if they are clearly proven wrong. This following paragraph is an exaggeration but it does make sense when you think about it.

Here is what follows: I replace your religions with racists. respectively.

Claiming that all racists are wrong is just as bad as claiming all non-racists are wrong. Racism is a belief in something without proof. Must you have proof for everything to ever believe it? So its ok if your non-racist but don't push your views on racists who don't want it. its just as bad if you push non-racism on us as if we push racism on you.

note: I could have used other words so please do not think I am trying to imply you are racist.

The paragraph is a little obscure but if you take an objective view of it you realize racism is an ignorant belief that people have based on lack of knowledge that all people are equal. If a racists is educated and given cultural experiences they will reduce their ignorance. Religion follows a parallel path, but for some reason it is given a get out of jail free card when it comes to criticism. Nothing should ever be left unquestioned.
